Dr. Peter Faustino & "Bully"

On tonight's edition of NBC's Nightly News with Brian Williams, Dr. Peter Faustino, President of NYASP, was interviewed by Kate Snow as a part of a segment on the film "Bully".  The clip can be seen at the following link:        http://video.msnbc.msn.com/nightly-news/46898906/#46898906

"Bully" is a documentary that offers an intimate, unflinching look at how bullying has impacted the lives of five children and their families.  Filmed over the course of the 2009/2010 school year, "Bully" opens a window into the pained and often endangered lives of bullied kids, revealing a problem that transcends geographic, racial, ethnic, and economic borders.  It documents the responses of administrators' and teachers' responses to aggressive behaviors that defy "kids will be kids" cliches, and it captures a growing movement to change how bullying is handled in schools, in communities, and in society as a whole.  "Bully" will be playing in select theaters in New York between March 30th and April 6th.  More information about the film can be found at http://thebullyproject.com
