Music For Autism

Dr. Sophie Feng Lee will be performing a special "interactive" concert as her Social Medicine Project, working in collaboration with Music for Autism. It will be their first concert in the Bronx! The concert is free for children with autism and their families and provides a wonderful framework for them to enjoy an event together to enrich the quality of their lives.
The concert is scheduled for Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 1pm and will be held at The Grand Hall, our brand new conference room at Montefiore which our president, Dr. Steven Safyer has graciously allowed us to use for free. My mentor, Dr. Yeou-Cheng Ma, is a Developmental Pediatrician at the Rose F. Kennedy Center, a graduate of Harvard Medical School, an accomplished violinist, Executive Director of the Children's Orchestra Society, and cellist Yo-Yo Ma's older sister. We will be playing a violin and viola duet of pieces from Handel/Halvorsen, Mozart, Robert Fuchs, and Scott Joplin.

If you know of any families of children with autism who live in the Bronx or nearby, please invite them to come!

Please tell those who would like to attend to please RSVP online.
Spread the word!
Thanks!
